Best/Worst dressed Emmy's Red Carpet 2011...

THE BEST:
Gwyneth Paltrow in Pucci

Lea Michele in Marchesa

Rachael Taylor (new Charlie's Angels) in Armani Prive

Anna Torv (Fringe) in Vera Wang
*love the added color from the earrings and sandals

Nina Dobrev (Vampire Diaries) in Donna Karen

Martha Plimpton (Raising Hope) in Zac Posen
*nothing out of the ordinary, but it fits her like a glove and her bod looks amazing.

Evan Rachel Wood in Elie Saab

Claire Danes in Oscar de la Renta

Jennifer Carpenter in Tony Ward
*this dress literally came right from his runway, it's age appropriate and the hair matches the dresses level of sexiness.

Kristen Wig in Zac Posen
*she is probably the most unexpected "best" of the night. her darker hair with the coloring the of this dress is amazing.

THE WORST:

and the award for your 1985 prom queen goes to...
Kylie Richards in Ines de Santo

every bridesmaids worst nightmare
Jane Krakowski in J. Mendel

let's give a hand to last night's Bat Mitzvah gal...
Zooey Deschanel in Monique Lhuillier

i don't actually hate this dress, what i hate is her hair, her absolutely horrifying makeup, her overdone fake tan, and that terrible face she's making. she looks like a bad hangover that rolled out of bed and threw this gown on.
Paz de la Huerta

i dont know how this dress made it onto ANY "best dressed" lists. she looks like she belongs in Katy Perry's E.T. video with those giant orbs protruding from her chest. ugh.
Juliana Margulies in Armani Prive

for such a cute girl on the verge of possibly becoming an "it girl" in Hollywood, i am so confused by this dress choice. how did her team allow her to wear this shade of goblin green? she clashes with the carpet! that's like the ulitmate red carpet faux paus.
Olivia Munn in Carolina Herrera.

okay, so before you freak out- i have reasoning why i put Minka Kelly on my worst dressed list.
B-O-R-I-N-G. she's so freakin safe and boring. somebody in the 40-50 age bracket should be wearing this dress, not Minka Kelly. everything about this, the hair, the makeup...she looks old. she's in a new show they are blasting ads for everywhere- this was her "moment" to really shine. totally disappointing, her castmate Rachael Taylor really stole the show in their trio.
Minka Kelly in Dior

the wrong shape for her, totally outdated hair. ugh.
Taraji P. Henson in Blumarine

Paula, Paula, Paula. why don't you hire a decent stylist!? she's in incredible shape, she's about to make her comeback on the X Factor, why did she choose this horrible gown?
Paula Abdul in Samine

again, more outdated hair, this shade of pink is a terrible color for her skintone, even though the dress is quite beautiful itself, and the choice of emerald earrings to go with this dress is all wrong.
Rashida Jones in Alberta Ferretti

nobody her age should wear heavy red satin like this, it makes you look older!! terrible bangs, too matchy-matchy makeup.
Kathy Griffin in Oscar de la Renta

i can't stand Katie Holmes, she talks out of the side of her mouth, she's boring, and so is this freakin dress.
Katie Holmes in Calvin Klein

while i do appreciate that she took a big risk by wearing this dress, it did not pan out well for her. this dress is totally unflattering on her and the accessories are all wrong. this dress belongs on someone either stick skinny and flat chested like Gwyneth or someone super young with a rockin bod like Blake Lively that could rock this with crazy bold accessories.
Amy Poehler in Peter Som

so these were last nights nominees for leading actress in a comedy. Tina Fey looks terrible in a boring black number i wouldn't want my Grandmother to wear lead along wear to the Emmy's, Martha looks beautiful, i'm not gonna touch Melissa McCarthy, we mentioned Amy, and Edie Falco looks beautiful in Randi Rahm (makes almost all the gowns for the Bachelorette each season). mainly though i want to mention Laura Linney. i am so freakin confused by her cohice to wear a plain black paper bag to the Emmys. although she did not win, she was the front runner for this award and this was the only photo i could find of her that showed her dress from last night's show. absolutely horrible.

THE GLEE CAST: it's like they all got together and decided not to use stylists.

terrible hair and way too many ruffles, she looks like a deer caught in headlights.
Heather Morris in Masai Payan

she's really taking this whole Asian minority thing she does on Glee to a whole nother level. really, this is what you chose to wear to the Emmys?
Jenna Ushowitz in Ghadah Paris

probably one of my biggest disappointments. this girl could be the next big thing. someone must have paid her to wear this dress because honestly i don't understand how a girl with this kind of potential doesn't take this opportunity to knock the socks off the press at an event like this. totally boring, unflattering, matronly hair... this dress does nothing for her.
Diana Agron in Roksanda IIincic

WORST STYLING:

i love Sofia Vergara and i LOVE this dress. her body looks ridiculous, it fits her to perfection and her hair if gorgeous. she's at the bottom of this category because of her styling. the color of her lipstick was a bad choice. way too much for the color of this gown and not right with her skintone
Sofia Vergara in Vera Wang with Lorraine Schwartz jewelry

what are your thoughts on best/worst dressed???
